Senior Vice President, Interest Rate Sales

Overview: The Bank of Montreal is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented professional to lead our Institutional Sales team in the realm of Interest Rate Derivatives. This role is pivotal in enhancing our engagement with Institutional Clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Institutional Sales Strategy: Oversee the coverage of Institutional Accounts, including but not limited to Insurance Companies, Pension Funds, Asset Managers, Government Entities, Banks, and Hedge Funds.
  • Drive Sales Initiatives: Collaborate with the Canadian Institutional Rates Sales Team to distribute Interest Rate Products globally.
  • Foster Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their investment needs and aligning our services accordingly.
  • Market Insight and Risk Management: Provide clients with market insights and effective risk management solutions, ensuring competitive pricing and identifying new business opportunities.
  • Cross-Selling and Account Development: Implement strategies to enhance client engagement and maximize revenue through comprehensive account coverage and proactive client development.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with trading, research, and sales teams to ensure seamless client service and fulfill requests for market updates and product information.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all transactions comply with regulatory standards and internal policies, maintaining accuracy in trade confirmations and settlement processes.
  • Analytical Expertise: Utilize analytical skills to assess market trends, evaluate risks, and develop client-focused solutions.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of market developments and enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial services, particularly in derivatives.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets and financial instruments.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English is essential.
