Senior Vice President, Sales Strategy

Scotiabank's Dynamic Funds, a prominent entity in the wealth management sector, is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee business development initiatives. Established in 1957, our firm has evolved into a leading provider of investment solutions across Canada, catering to a diverse clientele.
Role Overview:
- Drive sales growth and cultivate new business opportunities within a designated region.
- Foster enduring relationships with clients while actively seeking new prospects.
- Leverage comprehensive product knowledge and exceptional interpersonal skills to enhance sales performance and client retention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group meetings with financial advisors to showcase our offerings (targeting 20 meetings weekly).
- Delegate daily responsibilities to the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) and Sales Associate (SA) for effective follow-up.
- Organize and facilitate events, roadshows, and manager meetings to promote engagement.
- Develop and review a strategic business plan quarterly to optimize sales from advisors in the region.
- Segment the client base to establish service levels and ensure diverse sales across various channels.
- Maintain and enhance client relationships through systematic territory rotations to drive sales and broaden product usage.
- Make proactive calls to clients who exceed purchase or redemption thresholds.
- Manage expenses and uphold the overall budget for the assigned region.
- Utilize the Diagnostic Selling Process to extract valuable insights and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
- Address client inquiries and follow up on leads generated by the ISR.
- Cultivate and expand new business relationships.
- Provide mentorship to the ISR through ongoing coaching and constructive feedback.
- Present innovative products, business strategies, and tax-planning solutions to advisors.
- Collaborate within a supportive team environment to achieve and surpass sales targets.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
- Adhere to Scotiabank's Global Sales Principles, ensuring alignment with the Bank's risk management framework in daily operations.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, or business administration.
- Proven track record of advancement in roles with increasing responsibility within the financial services sector.
- At least 5 years of sales experience and territory management.
- Completion of CSC and/or IFIC certification is required.
- A collaborative individual who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management systems is essential.
- Enrollment in an industry designation program (CIM, CFA, CFP, etc.) is preferred.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management capabilities.
- Strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Awareness of trends in the financial services industry.
- A proactive self-starter with a focus on maximizing sales opportunities.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
