About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client Partner, Human Resources to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. This is a key role that requires a strong understanding of human resource management, labour relations, and collective bargaining.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide human resource consultation and advice to assigned departments, promoting a consultative and problem-solving approach to labour relations.
  • Develop and implement contract interpretations, policies, procedures, and programs to create and improve consistent labour relations practice within the organization.
  • Investigate labour relations issues and complaints, researching appropriate jurisprudence and industry practices.
  • Provide advice to managers and other clients on grievance and dispute resolution process management.
  • Promote constructive union-management relations through respectful communication and interest-based problem-solving.
  • Identify management education needs regarding human resource issues and assist with developing and presenting related educational programs.
  • Maintain records and statistics on labour relations activities, reviewing and analyzing data to inform recommendations to leaders and human resource staff.
Requirements
  • University Degree in a field related to Human Resource Management, plus five (5) years' recent, related experience in human resources in a unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a highly sensitive labour climate.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle change effectively and model effective behaviours for others.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment, including computers and appropriate software programs.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and use of a personal vehicle.
