Client Partner, Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client Partner, Human Resources to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in human resource management, labour relations, and consultation to support the strategic goals of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide human resource consultation, advice, and support to assigned departments, promoting a consultative and problem-solving labour relations approach.
- Consult with managers, directors, and other clients on operational issues, assisting them to meet strategic goals and effective operation of their human resources.
- Provide advice and guidance on the interpretation and administration of collective agreements, legislation, and policies, ensuring consistent application and compliance.
- Investigate labour relations issues and complaints, researching appropriate jurisprudence and industry practices, and developing recommendations for contract interpretations, policies, and programs.
- Advise managers and clients on grievance and dispute resolution process management, including fact-finding, correspondence, and meeting preparation.
- Promote constructive union-management relations through respectful communication and interest-based problem-solving.
- Identify management education needs and assist in developing and presenting related educational programs.
- Maintain records and analyze data on labour relations activities, reporting concerns and recommendations to leaders and human resource staff.
- Stay current in human rights, employment, and related legislation, as well as health care collective agreements and human resource practices.
- Participate in industry committees to maintain knowledge of current and future trends and changes in labour relations.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A University Degree in a field related to Human Resource Management.
- Five (5) years' recent, related experience in human resources in a unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a highly sensitive labour climate.
- Demonstrated ability to handle change effectively and model effective behaviours for others.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Valid B.C. Driver's License and use of a personal vehicle.
