Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance to managers on labour relations, contract administration, and workforce transition matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Labour Relations Support: Provide advice and guidance to managers on labour relations grievances and general human resources matters, including employee performance, discipline, absenteeism, and job selection/transfer.
  • Contract Administration: Assist managers with contract interpretation, grievance handling, and research on arbitral jurisprudence.
  • Education and Training: Participate in the preparation and presentation of education and in-services concerning labour relations and general human resources matters to managers and supervisors.
  • Collective Agreement Interpretation: Provide interpretations and advice on legal statutes and organization policy, and assist other Employee Experience departments and support departments.
  • Research and Reporting: Research, compile, and complete reports on specific subjects such as labour relations trends, arbitral jurisprudence, and organization human resource problems.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require a Bachelor's degree from a Business Administration program offering a concentration in Industrial/Labour Relations, and at least three years of demonstrated work experience in Human Resources, Labour Relations, and/or research/analysis roles.

You will also possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
