About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Client Partner, Human Resources to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and support to our management team and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide human resource consultation and advice to assigned departments, promoting a consultative and problem-solving labour relations approach.
  • Consult with managers and directors on operational issues, assisting them to meet strategic goals and effective operation of their human resources.
  • Provide advice and guidance on the interpretation and administration of collective agreements, legislation, and policies.
  • Investigate labour relations issues and complaints, researching appropriate jurisprudence and industry practices.
  • Develop and implement contract interpretations, policies, procedures, and programs to create and improve consistent labour relations practice.
  • Provide advice on grievance and dispute resolution process management, including guidance on fact-finding, drafting correspondence, and preparing for meetings.
  • Promote constructive union-management relations through respectful communication and interest-based problem-solving.
  • Identify management education needs and assist with developing and presenting related educational programs.
  • Maintain records and review data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • University degree in a field related to Human Resource Management.
  • Five years' recent, related experience in human resources in a unionized environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others in a highly sensitive labour climate.
  • Ability to handle change effectively and model effective behaviours for others.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's License and use of a personal vehicle.
