Job Summary

Hilton Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa is seeking a highly skilled Front Office Supervisor to join our team. As a Front Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the first impressions of our guests and ensuring a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Office Operations
    • Supervise the efficient operations of reception, including check-in and check-out procedures.
    • Support team members in handling guest requests and inquiries to ensure a positive outcome.
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Demonstrate positive leadership characteristics, inspiring team members to exceed standards.
    • Ensure team members are fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and other departments.
  • Customer Service
    • Demonstrate a high level of customer service at all times.
    • Advise team members of any special events or VIP guests in the hotel.
  • Product Knowledge
    • Understand thoroughly all hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties.
  • Performance Management
    • Monitor the appearance, standards, and performance of the Front Office team, with an emphasis on training and teamwork.
    • Maximize room occupancy and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Act in accordance with fire, health, and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Post-secondary education in Hospitality or Tourism is preferred.
  • Experience
    • 2 years of previous hotel front desk experience, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
    • Experience with Hilton OnQ PMS system is an asset.
  • Skills
    • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
    • Work well in stressful and high-pressure situations.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills.
    • Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business demands.
    • Proven ability to lead and motivate team members.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Experience
    • Previous supervisory experience.
    • Previous experience in the hospitality industry.
