Status: Full-Time - Days
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: $23.28/HR
Overview: The Security Operations Supervisor is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the security and life safety initiatives at the property. This position collaborates closely with the Manager's Security and Life Safety Manager to achieve the established objectives and goals outlined in the operational agreement. The role demands exceptional leadership, customer service acumen, and extensive experience in emergency management, coupled with superior diplomatic skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the security and life safety program.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
- Oversee emergency management protocols and operational procedures.
- Foster relationships with internal stakeholders, tenants, and public authorities.
- Participate in the development and testing of emergency response plans.

Supervisory Role:
The Security Operations Supervisor will lead the daily activities of the security personnel, ensuring an effective and professional workforce through:
- Recruitment of qualified candidates.
- Comprehensive training and mentoring.
- Promotion of ethical treatment and recognition.
- Leading by example.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high school diploma and a community college diploma in security management, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of three years in a commercial real estate security environment, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity, is preferred.
Technical Proficiencies:
Candidates should have a solid understanding of security technology, including CCTV and access control systems, and be familiar with relevant legislation and regulations in security management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also required.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. The ability to motivate and mentor staff, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, is crucial for success in this role.
Operational Management:
The Security Operations Supervisor will ensure that all aspects of the security program are regularly assessed and updated to align with operational standards and efficiency goals.
Health and Safety Responsibilities:
Participation in the Joint Health & Safety Committee is required, along with conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
Physical Requirements:
This role involves regular physical activity, including walking and standing for extended periods, as well as the use of basic motor skills for record-keeping and reporting.
