Role Summary:
The Security Operations Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Security and Life Safety Manager to achieve the objectives outlined in our operational agreements. This leadership role requires a strong focus on customer service, emergency management, and effective communication skills.

The Security Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily management of the security and life safety program, ensuring compliance with established standards and best practices. This role includes managing contractor responsibilities and maintaining high levels of service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead emergency management initiatives
  • Oversee operational management processes
  • Manage personnel and staffing requirements
  • Administer budget and financial operations
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Supervisory Duties:
The Security Operations Supervisor will direct the daily activities of all security personnel, ensuring effective performance and professional development. Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting qualified candidates
  • Providing comprehensive training and mentorship
  • Fostering a culture of recognition and ethical treatment
  • Leading by example in all interactions

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a high school diploma and a relevant post-secondary qualification in security management, risk management, or a related field. A minimum of three years of experience in a commercial security environment, with at least one year in a supervisory role, is preferred.

Technical Skills:
Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of security operations, property management, and relevant legislation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with security technologies such as CCTV and access control systems is essential.

Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills are crucial for this role. The ability to motivate and mentor staff while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment is necessary.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires regular physical activity, including walking, standing, and the ability to perform basic motor skills.
