Position: Security Operations SupervisorStatus: Full-Time - Days
Pay Rate: Competitive salary Primary Focus: The Security Operations Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Security Manager to achieve the objectives outlined in our operational agreements. This role demands strong leadership, customer service expertise, and a background in emergency management.
The Security Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily security operations and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. This supervisory role includes managing the responsibilities of contracted personnel and maintaining industry best practices in Emergency Management, Operational Management, Personnel & Staffing, Budget & Administration, and Health & Safety. Quality assurance is a critical aspect of this position to ensure adherence to required standards.
The Security Operations Supervisor will establish and nurture relationships with internal teams, tenants, public authorities, suppliers, and industry stakeholders. This position will also involve setting performance goals for security personnel and focusing on their development to maintain high standards and effective succession planning. Additionally, the Supervisor will participate in the development and testing of emergency response plans to ensure preparedness for various incidents. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

The Security Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of all security personnel, ensuring a professional and effective workforce through:
- Recruitment of qualified candidates

- Leading by example
A high school diploma is required, with a preference for a community college diploma in security/life safety, risk management, or a related field. Candidates should have at least three years of experience in a commercial security environment, with a minimum of one year in a supervisory role. Technical Skills:
Understanding of security duties and responsibilities, property management needs, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with security technologies such as CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems is essential.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication skills, ability to motivate and mentor staff, and excellent problem-solving abilities are crucial. The candidate should be adaptable, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Operational Management:
The Supervisor will have direct responsibility for managing security personnel, ensuring that all aspects of the security program are regularly assessed and updated to align with best practices.
