Pay Rate: Competitive Salary Primary Focus: The Security Operations Supervisor will collaborate closely with the Security Manager to achieve the outlined objectives and goals of the security program. This leadership role requires a strong emphasis on customer service, emergency management expertise, and exceptional interpersonal skills.
The Security Operations Supervisor is accountable for the daily oversight of the security and safety protocols at the assigned locations, ensuring the delivery of effective security services. This position involves managing all responsibilities associated with security operations, maintaining compliance with industry standards, and implementing best practices in Emergency Management, Operational Management, Personnel & Staffing, Budget & Administration, and Health & Safety. A key aspect of this role is to ensure quality assurance and adherence to established standards.
The Security Operations Supervisor will build and maintain essential relationships with internal teams, tenants, public authorities, suppliers, and industry stakeholders. This role also involves setting performance goals for security personnel and ensuring their achievement while focusing on individual development and succession planning. Regular collaboration with the Security Manager will be necessary to provide insights for future planning and significant security initiatives. A critical responsibility includes participating in the development, maintenance, and testing of emergency response plans to ensure preparedness for various potential incidents. The Security Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily functions of all security personnel, ensuring an effective and professional workforce by focusing on: Recruiting qualified candidates, Providing comprehensive training, Mentoring and motivating staff, Ensuring equitable treatment, Recognizing and rewarding achievements, Leading by example. Education & Experience:
A high school diploma is required, with a preference for a community college diploma in security/life safety, risk management, or a related field. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience in a commercial security environment, with at least one year in a supervisory role. Technical Skills:
Familiarity with security and life safety technology, including CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in security management is essential.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong communication skills, the ability to motivate and mentor staff, and excellent problem-solving abilities are crucial.
Operational Management:
The Security Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of all security personnel, ensuring that all aspects of the security program are regularly assessed and updated to align with best practices and operational efficiency.
