About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Operations Manager to join our team at Chang Noi's Authentic Thai Cuisine. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality and safety, and leading a team of cooks and kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Develop and implement efficient food preparation and service procedures to meet customer demand.
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and presentation.
  • Inventory Management
    • Manage inventory levels of food, ingredients, and kitchen supplies to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies as needed to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Team Leadership
    • Train and develop kitchen staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to kitchen staff to improve performance and address any issues or concerns.
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that all food prepared and served meets our high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.
    • Conduct regular quality control checks to identify and address any issues or concerns.
  • Financial Management
    • Prepare and manage kitchen budgets to ensure optimal financial performance.
    • Monitor and control kitchen expenses to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in a related field.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
