Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, including cleaning and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
    • Operate dishwashers and other kitchen equipment to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
    • Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Housekeeping and Sanitation
    • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area, including sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
    • Sanitize and clean all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces to prevent cross-contamination and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Inventory Management
    • Assist in receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies and ingredients in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or concerns to management.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure seamless food preparation and service.
    • Communicate effectively with management and other staff members to address any concerns or issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is an asset.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
