ABOUT THE TEAM

The Product Owner (PO) plays a pivotal role within the Private Markets agile team, aiming to enhance the value provided by the Technology, Data, and Operations (TDO) group. The Private Markets PO engages with various clients (business partners) to deliver on Private Markets Asset Classes and Operations, including Tax, Legal, Private Market Risk, and Due Diligence.

In essence, the incumbent is tasked with creating product roadmaps in collaboration with business stakeholders, prioritizing tasks based on value and budget, leading agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, demos, Prioritization meetings), and effectively collaborating with delivery teams to continuously provide business value and seize untapped opportunities.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

As a Product Owner for Private Market Solutions, your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary liaison and identifying client needs with internal stakeholders.
  • Establishing, maintaining, and communicating the product roadmap in partnership with business stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with Architects to stay updated on technology trends.
  • Documenting business cases, including anticipated benefits.
  • Managing and adhering to the allocated budget.
  • Structuring and prioritizing the product backlog in conjunction with the business and the team.
  • Articulating business needs and value for delivery squads during agile sessions, focusing on high-value increments aligned with the product strategy.
  • Managing client delivery expectations and collaborating with other TDO agile teams to meet delivery commitments.
  • Removing delivery impediments within your control or escalating issues to Managers to ensure delivery commitments are fulfilled.
  • Leading and contributing to business analysis and documentation of solutions, as well as participating in incident resolution.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, information technologies, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in an agile environment.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in business systems related to Investments and Operations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with hands-on experience managing all stages of a product life cycle (e.g., SDLC).
  • Certification as a Product Owner (e.g., PSPO, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong active listening, oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative spirit and positive attitude, fostering teamwork.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Bilingualism in English and French.
