ABOUT THE TEAM
The Product Owner (PO) plays a crucial role within the Private Markets agile team, focusing on maximizing the value delivered by the Technology, Data, and Operations (TDO) group. The Private Markets PO engages with various clients (business partners) to deliver on Private Markets Asset Classes and Operations areas, including Tax, Legal, Private Market Risk, and Due Diligence.
In essence, the incumbent is tasked with developing product roadmaps in collaboration with business stakeholders, prioritizing tasks based on value and budget, leading agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, demos, Prioritization meetings), and effectively collaborating with delivery teams to continuously provide business value and seize untapped opportunities.
ABOUT YOUR ROLE
As a Product Owner for Private Market Solutions, your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the primary liaison for identifying client needs alongside internal stakeholders.
- Establishing, maintaining, and communicating the product roadmap in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Collaborating with Architects to stay updated on technology trends.
- Documenting business cases, including anticipated benefits.
- Managing and adhering to the allocated budget.
- Structuring and prioritizing the product backlog in conjunction with the business and the team.
- Articulating business needs and value for delivery squads during agile sessions, while focusing on high-value increments aligned with the product strategy.
- Managing client delivery expectations and coordinating with other TDO agile teams to meet delivery commitments.
- Removing impediments to delivery within your control or escalating issues to Managers to ensure delivery commitments are fulfilled.
- Leading and contributing to business analysis and documentation of solutions, as well as participating in incident resolution.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- A Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, information technologies, or a related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in an agile environment.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in business systems related to Investments and Operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with hands-on experience managing all stages of a product life cycle (e.g., SDLC).
- Certification as a Product Owner (e.g., PSPO, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong active listening, oral, written, and presentation skills.
- A collaborative spirit and positive attitude with strong teamwork skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingualism in English and French.
