Position Overview:

The Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in facilitating physician engagement initiatives and managing various project tasks within the Strategic Zone Recruitment Service. The key responsibilities include:

  1. Directly engaging with and managing inquiries from physician leads and applicants.
  2. Participating in exhibitions and conferences to promote local and regional recruitment efforts.
  3. Developing and overseeing regional and international recruitment outreach campaigns.
  4. Managing agreements with third-party recruitment agencies and formulating effective engagement strategies.
  5. Collaborating with Medical Affairs teams to identify, share, and implement best practices in recruitment.

This hybrid role encompasses both project management and external engagement with recruitment leads. The Project Coordinator will work closely with AHS Medical Affairs teams to assess recruitment needs, devise and execute recruiting strategies, and analyze their effectiveness. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential to foster a collaborative recruitment atmosphere. Additionally, the Project Coordinator will handle inquiries from foreign physicians seeking to relocate to Canada, as well as recent Canadian medical graduates or practicing physicians interested in opportunities within Alberta.

Required Qualifications:
A post-secondary degree in communications, business, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of two years of relevant experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Required Qualifications:
Five to seven years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with the physician recruitment landscape and demonstrated knowledge of Medical Affairs or recruitment processes. Proven ability to build networks with diverse stakeholders to address complex challenges. A proactive approach to identifying and acting on opportunities for quality improvement within established projects and processes. Capability to work independently and self-direct effectively. Understanding and successful application of change management principles.
