TEAM SUPERVISOR – CHILDREN'S MENTAL HEALTH

LOCATION: SUDBURY

COMPENSATION: Salary Range: $94,737 to $116,315

Position Overview

The Team Supervisor for Children's Mental Health is responsible for overseeing the Children's Mental Health Workers, ensuring that the program is effectively tailored to meet the unique needs of the community. This role is essential in maintaining high-quality standards and implementing policies that are responsive to child welfare issues. The Supervisor operates within the framework of relevant legislation, regulations, and the guiding principles of Sault Community Career Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support Children's Mental Health Workers in their daily operations.
  • Design and implement programs that respect the cultural and community needs.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and policies related to child welfare.
  • Engage with community stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Minimum of a College Diploma in Human Services.
  • At least two years of experience in coordinating or managing social services.
  • One year of direct service experience with children and families.
  • Experience working with Indigenous communities and organizations is preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Additional Requirements

  • Demonstrated respect and understanding of Indigenous cultures and traditions.
  • Ability to communicate in Anishnaabemowin is an asset.
  • Must provide a satisfactory Criminal Records Check.
  • Valid Class 'G' Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Must have $1M automobile insurance coverage.
