We are seeking a Supervisor of Child, Youth and Family Development to oversee our dedicated professionals in various locations throughout the city. This full-time role, reporting to the Manager of Child, Youth & Family Development, entails managing the daily operations of high-quality educational child care for children aged 0-12 years. The supervisor will ensure compliance with the YMCA's Policies, Procedures, and Best Practices, as well as all legislative requirements set by relevant authorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the overall health, safety, and well-being of children in care.
  • Oversee and support the delivery of high-quality educational programming.
  • Conduct orientation tours for new families.
  • Maintain accurate records for children and staff personnel files.
  • Develop and implement site plans to maintain optimal site capacity.
  • Identify and address program delivery challenges.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with mandatory training and certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent recognized by the Ministry.
  • At least two years of supervisory experience in a child and/or youth setting.
  • Membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) in good standing.
  • Current immunization record, clear TB test, and medical note confirming fitness with CCEYA.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR C certification.
  • Valid G class driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Current and satisfactory Police Record with Vulnerable Sector Check.
