DMC Mining is looking for a Supervisor (Alimak) for our Thompson MB Project. Responsible for the direction and leadership of DMC Mining Services employees. Manage a shift or a segment of numerous shifts to complete tasks. You will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of assigned tasks and the timely completion of each project safely with the highest quality on budget.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervises crews and coordinates the activities of the workers in surface and underground mining projects.
2. Works within the contract presented to the client.
3. Conducts weekly safety meetings and provides a safe work environment.
4. Provides training to Alimak crews.
5. Daily documentation and correspondence between client and company on performance of crew and equipment.
6. Takes responsibility for aspects of occupational health and safety, and environmental matters, over which the individual has control, including adherence to all DMC requirements.
7. Ensure that all direct reports in the workplace take responsibility for aspects of Occupational Health, Safety and Environment over which they have control including adherence to all Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
8. Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role.
2. Sound knowledge, skills and experience with Alimak operations.
3. Ontario Basic Common Core Modules (770010).
4. Ontario Common Core Specialty Modules for Alimak Raise U0064.
5. Experience with Alimak Raise, Track, and Trackless Mining is preferred.
6. Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
7. Solid oral and written communication skills.
8. Strong computer skills.
9. Able to work rotation day and night shifts.
