We are seeking a Supervisor of Child, Youth and Family Development for a full-time role across various locations. Reporting to the Manager of Child, Youth & Family Development, this position is pivotal in ensuring the effective delivery of safe, high-quality educational child care for children aged 0-12 years. The Supervisor will oversee the daily operations of the child care site, ensuring compliance with YMCA policies, procedures, and all relevant legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in care.
  • Support and oversee the implementation of high-quality educational programming.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for new families joining the center.
  • Maintain accurate records for children and staff personnel files.
  • Develop and implement site plans to maintain optimal site capacity.
  • Identify and address program delivery challenges effectively.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, ensuring compliance with mandatory certifications.

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or equivalent recognized by the Ministry.
  • A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a child and/or youth environment.
  • Active membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
  • Current immunization record, clear TB test, and medical documentation confirming fitness for CCEYA.
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification.
  • Valid G class driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • Current police record check with Vulnerable Sector screening.
