About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture. As a key member of our support staff, you will provide administrative services to our professional and technical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our divisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Director and other division staff, including tracking correspondence, responding to inquiries, and coordinating meetings and agendas.
  • Assist with budget-related tasks, including monitoring documents and tracking expenses.
  • Perform a range of day-to-day operational tasks, including ordering supplies and maintaining filing records.
  • Develop and implement administrative processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with division and department staff to achieve shared goals and objectives.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in administrative support, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A 1-year secretarial/business administration diploma and three years of related experience are required, or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be acceptable.
