We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our healthcare team, providing support to patients, families, and inter-professional team members. As a Recreation Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing intervention plans, and delivering evidence-informed interventions in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor of Recreation specializing in Therapeutic Recreation, Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist certification, and BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification. Experience with Responsive Behavior plan development and knowledge of Therapeutic Recreation assessments and processes are assets. Competencies in other languages, particularly French, are also an asset.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patient needs and develop intervention plans
- Deliver evidence-informed interventions in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings
- Collaborate with inter-professional team members to provide comprehensive care
- Develop and implement Responsive Behavior plans as needed
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $42.01 and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
