We are seeking a skilled Recreation Therapist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a member of our collaborative healthcare team, you will provide support to patients, families, and inter-professional team members.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Bachelor of Recreation specializing in Therapeutic Recreation
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- Knowledge and application of Therapeutic Recreation assessments and processes
- Experience with Responsive Behavior plan development (an asset)
- Understanding of the role of a recreation associate
- Competencies in other languages (an asset, French preferred)

Hours- Permanent Full-Time, 75 hours biweekly
The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of $42.01 and may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
