**Role Responsibilities**:
**Priority Issues Coordinator (PIC) - Strategic Integration Team, Modernization and Strategic Integration Branch**

This position plays a critical role in establishing, implementing, integrating, and monitoring effective business and communication processes. The PIC ensures information is efficiently disseminated to affected program areas. A strong understanding of communications, policy and organizational issues will be required.

Working closely with the manager, PIC responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Issues Management
- Develop guidelines and procedures to support streamlined operations, including Action Request Tracking System (ARTS), communications, and financial processes.
- Support the Branch's ongoing change management by developing and refining new approaches and supporting tools
- Act as a liaison between the Assistant Deputy Minister’s Office and Branch Units ensuring emerging issues and information is disseminated
- Organize, coordinate and communicate corporate requests, such as the Division's internal operational plans, business plans, and annual and quarterly reports.

Correspondence / communications
- Establish, implement, and monitor effective communication processes to manage the flow of information and inquires through the division, ensuring executives are briefed on all relevant developments and emerging issues
- Oversee the coordination and preparation of written materials ensuring comprehensive submissions that meet the format and standards requested, including developing responses on behalf of program areas.
- Conducting quality assurance checks to ensure communications are clear and address the issues raised.

**Policy Analyst - Policy Team, Modernization and Strategic Integration Branch**

We are seeking a dedicated Policy Analyst to join the Policy Team, Modernization and Strategic Integration Branch. This position contributes to a variety of policy initiatives designed to advance traffic safety in Alberta. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to handle policy projects that span the entire policy cycle.
- Analyze and evaluate data to inform the development of policies aimed at improving traffic safety.
- Contribute to all stages of the policy cycle, including problem identification, policy formulation, implementation, and evaluation.
- Prepare and present briefing notes, reports, and presentations that clearly communicate policy proposals and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented policies, suggesting modifications as necessary to enhance traffic safety measures.
- Conduct thorough research using a variety of sources to gather evidence that supports policy development and ensures policy excellence.
- Stay informed on current trends, research, and best practices in traffic safety to ensure the relevance and innovation of policy measures.
