**Scheduling Coordinator**
**(Temporary Full-Time - 6 Month Contract)**
At Community Care Durham, coordinated networks of volunteers and inter-professional staff, working out of integrated community hubs and other locations, strive to enrich the well-being and quality of life for people who choose to live at home. As the largest community support services agency in Durham Region, CCD collaborates with its partners and the broader community to address community issues and support local citizens to achieve their goals to live independently.
Reporting to the Client Contact Centre Manager, the Scheduling Coordinator supports the day-to-day provision of client services; the Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing calls in the contact centre and participating as an effective member of the Community Care team.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling volunteers and CCD Fleet paid van drivers at all CCD Hubs for the provision of transportation;
- Scheduling transportation service volunteers;
- Communicating new assignments and/or schedule changes to transportation service staff and volunteers;
- Ensure that calls are answered in a timely manner, meeting client caller experience goals;
- Identifying and addressing transportation scheduling issues (i.e., cancellations and no shows, etc.,);
- Providing support and assistance with transportation schedule problem solving to team members;
- Entering all transportation scheduling data into CCD database(s) in a timely manner and ensures that all data is accurate and complete.
**Qualifications required**:
- Post-Secondary Diploma/education in Office Administration, logistics, or a combination of education and experience.
- 1 Year experience in Office Administration is an asset
- 1 Year experience in Scheduling Staff
- Strong logístical, critical thinking, problem solving and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good working knowledge of the principles of community support services including community, mental health and gerontology, and volunteer management
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Sensitivity to adults with needs related to aging, physical and/or mental health
- Must work in a safe manner and promote the health and safety of all staff, volunteers, clients and the community as outlined within CCD policies
**Compensation**:Starting at $21 per hour; plus 6% vacation
- Pay will be commensurate based on education and experience
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
