**About the Role**
The Administrative Assistant provides a variety of reception, secretarial and general clerical assistance, prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents, often involving material of a confidential nature, for management and front-line staff. Maintains the agency’s filing system.
Position:
**Temporary full time (35 hours/week) until return of incumbent**
**Qualifications**:
1. _Education and experience_
- Completion of Grade 12 and education/training in office procedures and service to the public.
- Education/training in Office Administration
- 2 years of general office experience
2. Job Skills & Abilities
- Highly skilled in greeting guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Well versed in managing a multiple line phone system and handling multiple incoming calls simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to answer queries of visitors and direct them to the right person.
- Committed to provide exceptional customer service to participants and coworkers.
- Excellent knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
- Adept at giving accurate and detailed information to visitors and callers.
- Able to handle difficult people tactfully.
- Proven record of performing clerical duties such as scanning, photocopying, and collating.
- Capable of keeping reception & common office areas (kitchen, coffee station, etc.) clean and organized.
- Exceptionally organized and able to multi-task.
3. _Other requirements_
- Criminal record check in accordance with agency policy
- Ability to provide proof of vaccination for COVID 19
