**Your opportunity**:
Reporting to the Special Projects Lead, the Administrative Coordinator will provide a broad range of administrative support and guidance within Student Life. In this role the Administrative Coordinator will provide coverage to the front desk; coordinate tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders; format and generate reports; monitor and order office supplies; coordinate meeting and event details including catering and overall logistics; perform data entry; support calendar and meeting management; handle sensitive and confidential information.

The incumbent must present a professional image by interacting knowledgeably and courteously with a variety of individuals including senior administrators, faculty, staff, students and community members. This position requires excellent communication, organizational and time management skills. The incumbent must be ableto carry out a broad range of duties while exercising tact and good judgement. It is important to be able to adapt rapidly from one function to another while maintaining efficiency and accuracy, especially under pressure.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Identifying and introducing variations to established administration processes
- Writing routine documents and correspondence
- Maintaining equipment and supply inventory
- Liaising with vendors to coordinate services and resolve issues
- Tracking and monitoringservice contracts for payment and renewal
- Determining logístical details and activities for events and/or programming

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three years related experience in a student services position, in an administrative role.
- Experience providing excellent customer service to a wide variety of stakeholders and providing assistance and support to clients/students.
- Experience with maintaining office systems and interpreting office guidelines.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (must be able to set up templates and macros in Word and Excel, set up Excel spreadsheets including formulas, and prepare sophisticated PowerPoint presentations).
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, active listening, analytical, decision-making and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated initiative, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated judgment, tact, discretion and ability to handle matters of a sensitive and confidentialnature.
- Ability to organize a fluctuating workload in a changing environment under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
