**What You Will Do**

In this role, you will connect with diverse communities of women, femme, non-binary and gender diverse people through site-based, event-based and other opportunities for sexual health outreach. You will collaboratively plan and deliver prevention/education activities with both internal and external partners to support sexual health, wellness and empowerment among women, femmegender diverse people of all HIV and Hep C statuses. You will also support program coordination and engage in bridging work to support community access to a variety of resources that include clinical services and care.

In this work, you will:

- Use collaborative community development approaches to build service providers’ capacities to respond to women, femme and gender diverse folxs living with/at systemic risk for/impacted by HIV/AIDS’ needs and priorities
- Engage service providers using provincial/local tools and resources to create opportunities to identify and meet priority community-identified priorities
- Promote the integration of HIV/AIDS, HCVand harm reduction education, prevention and support into programs, services, policies and procedures among diverse organizations and groups that serve women, femme and gender diverse folxs
- Engage communities of women, femme and gender-diverse folxs in community-building activities that support individual and collective wellness
- Develop, strengthen and support local and regional relationships between HIV/AIDS-related and other services that engage women, femme and gender-diverse folxs

**What You Will Bring**
- Lived/living experience
- Current and extensive knowledge about HIV/AIDS/HCV and harm reduction, including an understanding of the relationship between HIV/AIDS/HCV acquisition, systemic oppressions and other social determinants of health
- An understanding of the diverse communities of women and related issues (including women’s health and gender equity, among others) with the ability to work with diverse populations placed at systemic risk of HIV/HCV acquisition within an anti-racist anti-oppression framework
- Experience working with community organizations/groups that serve all women (including familiarity with gender-based and intimate partner-based violence sectors)
- Work experience in a health promotion or community-based organization and/or a post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience considered an asset
- Excellent communication (verbal, written, and visual) and skills with the ability to develop and deliver presentations to community organizations/groups to support positive community change
- Both knowledge of and experience with successfully using models of community development activities/practices and community mobilization
- A detail-oriented approach to collecting, collating and reporting qualitative and quantitative data; familiarity with database use an asset
- Must be able to work some evenings and weekends when required in a variety of social and physical settings
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle is required to attend to some work-related duties
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
