**What You Will Do**
- As a Peer Harm Reduction Worker, you will enhance the quality of life for individuals and diverse communities living with, at-risk for or affected by the challenges associated with HIV/AIDS and HCV within London Health Science Centre (LHSC).
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide hospital inpatients with in-the-moment, client-centered, trauma informed, harm reduction support and assist with connections to community-based services to support patient care in collaboration with various inter-professional teams across the LHSC organization and community.
- You will relate on an experiential level to promote harm reduction peer support to patients and to provide education on harm reduction peer support to patients and staff including on harm reduction best practices and health promotion, including safer injection and overdose prevention.

**What You Will Bring**
- A strong ability to build rapport with participants/professionals and engage with and relate to culturally, linguistically, ethnically, spiritually, racially, and geographically diverse communities.
- A strong knowledge of community resources and social service agencies in London with the ability to identify and understand intersectional factors that impact the health and wellbeing of diverse communities of people.
- A strong knowledge of hospital systems including systems navigation, local hospital services and policies or procedures related to healthcare in the province of Ontario.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to deliver effective conflict resolution and crisis intervention techniques.
- Access to reliable transportation
- First Aid & CPR, BLS, CPI training considered an asset.
- A satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
