**Purpose and Role of Position**
Communicate with donors, maintain donor records and work collaboratively on Anova’s Fund Development and Communications team.

**Job Summary**
Ensure that all donations are properly acknowledged and accurate records are maintained on all donations/donors to enable future solicitation. Provide accurate reconciliation and report to Finance. Provide administrative support for the Fund Development and Communications department.

**Job Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of secondary school (grade 12)
- Experience using third party fundraising software
- Experience working as part of a Fund Development Team
- Accounting related experience
- Advanced computer skills

**Job Duties**

**Responsibility: Donation Processing**
- Process donations weekly in timely manner (e.g. cheques, cash, credit card, online etc.)
- Process and reconcile monthly donor donations electronically (all types)
- Maintain donor records
- Develop and maintain accurate and efficient filing system for donors and all donation types
- Process and issue timely donor receipts and gift acknowledgement letters
- Generate annual acknowledgments/consolidated receipts

**Responsibility: Finance (Fund Development related)**
- Work with Finance and Fund Development teams to maximize the effective use of the database
- Liaise with the auditors with respect to their records and reconciliations
- Monthly reconciliation of donations to finance records
- Report and reconcile online third-party donation accounts monthly (e.g. CanHelps, Benevity, Paypal, GoFund Me, etc.)
- Liaise with the investment bank to process security donations accurately for tax purposes
- Create and maintain weekly, monthly and annual reports in salesforce database for development and finance purposes

**Responsibility: Fund Development**
- Work with Fund Development and Communications Team to maximize efforts.
- Assist with content creation/posting/maintenance of social media, website and communications.
- Assist and support fund development events (whether virtual or in person)
- Assist with fund raising campaigns and direct mail
- Network with Community Partners and Donors
- Assist with grant writing and proposals

**Responsibility: Other Duties**
- Participate in orientation/training of new staff, students, and volunteers
- Attend regular staff meetings, team meetings and training sessions as appropriate and/or required.
- Participate on agency committees as appropriate and/or required.
- Follow Anova policies and procedures as documented and required.
- Maintain a current awareness of gender-based violence, issues related to women and current data specific to Anova.
- Model Respect at Work principles and skills while carrying out daily activities.
- Deal effectively with job related stress including assessing personal need for time off and/or professional development.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.92 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Social media management: 2 years (preferred)
- Electronic filing and database management: 3 years (preferred)
- Reconciliation preparation: 2 years (preferred)
- Financial reporting software: 2 years (preferred)
