**What You Will Do**

In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to co-create, deliver and evaluate events aimed at supporting HIV self-testing awareness and uptake among identified priority communities. You will also provide ongoing training within and beyond RHAC’s staff team to support empowering connections with diverse communities and facilitate meaningful engagement related to HIV self-testing and related resources. Additionally, you will engage with community members to help improve access to HIV self-test kits and other relevant resources that support overall individual/community wellness.

In this work, you will:

- Collaborate with internal and external partners to co-create events that support priority community engagement and empowerment opportunities related to HIV self-testing
- Offer ongoing training to internal and external partners to build capacity to share information about HIV self-testing and/or distribute HIV self-test kits from a place of knowledge and empowerment
- Coordinate logistics related to HIV self-test kit procurement, storage, distribution and inventory

- Capacity-building and community connection skills to support improved healthcare access and wellness outcomes
- Strong group engagement, interpersonal, facilitation, conflict resolution and communication skills to promote a positive and supportive training experience
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and trust relationships with community members across diverse lived experiences
- Lived/living experience considered an asset
- Ability to occasionally work irregular hours (evenings and weekends) in a variety of social and physical settings
- Valid driver’s licence with regular use of a reliable vehicle for work-related duties, preferred
- First Aid/CPR, BLS and Naloxone training considered an asset
- Satisfactory vulnerable sector police check (VSC)

- A full-time 6 month contract position (anticipated start date of October 2, 2023), based on an annual salary of $41,500 to $48,000
