**PROFILE**

We are currently recruiting for an HR Coordinator to join the dynamic Talent team in our Toronto office. This position will be responsible for providing day-to-day support to the Managers of our Associate, Law Student and Law Clerk programs, ensuring that the Firm’s overall goals and objectives for talent recruitment, development, evaluation and retention under these key programs are met. This position will also provide administrative support to the local HR Team, as they relate to each of these programs.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**LAW STUDENT PROGRAMS - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Coordinate all levels of the internal student recruitment process including, but not limited to, resume management, scheduling interviews, applicant correspondence, event planning and the organization of various materials and meetings throughout the process
- Liaise with the Career Development Offices at law schools across Canada with regards to student recruitment matters including firm tours, career days and on-campus interviews
- Coordinate the Firm’s involvement in law school awards and sponsorships
- Assist with the coordination of the summer and articling student programs including on-boarding and orientation, managing rotations, secondment opportunities, mentorship program and social events
- Ensure that all student program documentation is completed in accordance with the Law Society policies and procedures - including the payment of all fees on behalf of summer and articling students
- Assist with the student performance evaluation process
- Support the Manager, Student Programs and the firm management team in preparing and organizing information in connection with the hire-back process
- Update and implement firm materials and policies - student handbook, mentorship manuals, firm precedents and recruitment materials.
- Support the Learning and Development Team on student programming
- Other duties, as required

**ASSOCIATE AND LAW CLERK PROGRAMS - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Assist in the development, coordination and delivery of first year associate orientation as well as lateral associate and law clerk training programs. Liaising with various departments to determine additional training programs for new hires
- Arrange administrative details for new associates and law clerks including obtaining appropriate documentation from new hires, communicating with internal stakeholders, arranging for conflict searches, and liaising with IT and office services and HR
- Support lateral associates with all filing requirements with the Law Society of Ontario
- Prepare and track associate secondment documentation and advising internal departments and HR team of the details of the secondment
- Assist with the performance management processes in respect of annual associate and law clerk reviews as well as mid-term reviews
- Assist with aspects of the firm’s mentorship program including developing mentorship packages and tracking information
- Organize events (educational and social) hosted by the Talent Team
- Other duties, as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- University degree/college diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a law firm and/or professional services industry
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with people at all levels and in a professional and courteous manner
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize, redefine priorities when necessary, and complete simultaneous projects with mínimal supervision
- Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment
- Produce high quality work product, occasionally under tight timelines
