**Who are we looking for**:
A self-starter with business development experience (preferably in the waste management space) who can grow our presence in the GTA. We’re looking for an individual who can hunt and cultivate new B2B relationships to generate sales, that is not afraid to cold call and knock on doors to expand our customer base.
**What we offer?**
**The Role**:
- Develop a strategy to effectively prospect for new business in the GTA
- Prospect, cold call, pitch and close deals with new customers
- Create relationships with referral sources
- Meticulously record all sales activity in the company’s CRM system
- Consistently grow sales month over month
- Ability to hire additional sales resources in time and manage a sales team
- Provide management with market intelligence based on customer feedback and needs
- Collaborate with management and support staff to ensure customers receive the highest levels of service
**Requirements**:
- Experience selling into the waste industry is strongly preferred.
- Self-motivated and sales-driven with proven experience in business development.
- Creative and entrepreneurial with solid interpersonal and communication skills.
- Minimum two to five years as a business development or sales position.
- High School Diploma is required
- Familiarity with Toronto streets and business areas
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to produce weekly reports in excel/google sheets
- Strong focus on customer service excellence, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
