Accounts Payable Administrator

**The Opportunity**
We are looking for a resourceful individual who has great attention to detail and is interested in being a supportive team member, working closely with the Accounts Payable Clerk, together will be responsible for the high volume, accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable. You will also perform various clerical and accounting tasks such as data management and keeping relevant electronic information up to date while providing administrative support to other roles within the Accounting Department. This position reports to the Accounts Payable Clerk and Accounting Lead
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- Assist the Accounts Payable Clerk in general document management and filing
- Accounts payable support with routing of invoices, vendor inquiries, and invoice management for cheque runs
- Reconciling ferry, fuel, and courier invoices
- Management of company credit card accounts, fuel and travel cards
- Weekly employee expenses payment and reconciliations
- Department vacation coverage as needed
- Miscellaneous tasks to support month end accounting, as directed and required
- Manage multiple priorities meeting all administrative deadlines
- Support for reception, accounting, and estimating team when required
- Display effective and efficient communication with the various FMI Head Office Personnel
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
**Qualifications Required**
- Office Administration Certificate or equivalent relevant experience (preferred)
- 1 year of accounts payable experience (preferred)
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Software, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of Vista by Viewpoint (preferred)
- Highly organized, good time management skills, self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must have reliable transportation
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
