Accounts Payable Associate

P&R Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centre Canada, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join their Nanaimo team. The ideal candidate will have experience in full-cycle accounting, multi-tasking, and a positive outlook. They will be responsible for handling accounts payable processes, including posting and reconciling vendor invoices and statements, posting AP adjustments, and ensuring AP and GL accounts are up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Posting and reconciling vendor invoices and statements
  • Posting AP adjustments
  • Ensuring AP and GL accounts are up to date
  • Assisting with preparing batch disbursements
  • Investigating and resolving account discrepancies

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years related experience in AP, including management or supervisory experience
  • Ability to analyze and present numerical data in tables, spreadsheets, and forms
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Working Environment:

This role is sedentary in nature and performed in an office environment. Extended hours of typing and data processing are to be expected. It is expected that at least 50% of your time will be dedicated to phone calls and interaction with both customers and staff.
