**SCOPE OF POSITION**
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for day-to-day administration and maintenance of HR processes and services with a major focus on recruitment/onboarding. Reporting to HR Manager they will ensure that HR programs are implemented effectively and efficiently.
**ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS**
- Develop creative sourcing strategies that promote ConeTec’s mission, values and vision.
- Develop and ensure standard hiring procedures are up to date company wide.
- Conduct reference checks and background checks.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on effective hiring practices.
- Ensure job descriptions and other documentation is up to date.
- Maintain relationships with recruitment partners, schools, and others who can assist with hiring process.
- Communicate with universities to advance development of students in geotechnical and environment engineering professions.
- Maximize ConeTec’s ability to leverage community involvement as a recruitment, branding and business development tool.
- Update and implement new hire onboarding and orientation procedure.
- Answer employees’ queries about HR-related issues.
- Help to coordinate employee training initiatives.
- Participate in developing employee engagement initiatives and projects.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required.
**SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
**Experience Requirements**
- 3+ years of proven work experience as a Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Specialist / Hiring Administrator or relevant role.
- Experience with HRIS software such as BambooHR.
**Educational Requirements**
- A university degree or college diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field such as business administration and psychology.
- Good knowledge of the labor laws.
**Soft Skill Requirements**
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important project and follow deadlines.
- Must have exceptional communication skills, both verbal & written.
- Must have proven organizational ability and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive material in an appropriate manner.
- Must have proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Must be able to work well independently and in a team setting.
- Data accuracy and attention to details is an essential skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to work in an unstructured environment is ideal.
