Job Summary
NorLand Limited is seeking a highly skilled Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People & Culture team. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a best-in-class recruitment program to attract industry-leading hires for hourly and salaried staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruiting activities at NorLand through programs that attract passive talent, including employer brand and careers fairs, as well as proactive recruitment of hourly and salaried roles in partnership with Hiring Managers across the business units.
- Develop and manage the recruiting budget and posting platforms, social advertising, and agency partners to ensure that recruitment spend drives tangible results.
- Become the subject matter expert on our newly launched ATS/HRIS, supporting Hiring Managers with training and business decisions through analytics.
- Advocate for best practices in talent acquisition across the organization, coaching Hiring Managers to select the most qualified candidates using effective, unbiased interview techniques, and guiding them through offer negotiations and the onboarding process.
- Promote, live, and embed the NorLand Values through all day-to-day interactions.
Requirements
- Prior experience leading volume recruitment programs for unionized hourly and salaried roles in a complex business with multiple units and/or provinces is a must.
- Has led quantifiable improvements to a recruitment program overall, such as implementing new systems, engaging hiring managers to adopt best-practices, or bringing creative approaches that resulted in transformative results.
- Skilled in employer brand and social recruitment strategies.
- Previously responsible for the organization's recruitment metrics and budget.
