**The Role**:
We are on the lookout for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our growing HR team In this role, you will be responsible for the full life cycle of talent acquisition, partnering with Hiring Managers and creating a talent pipeline for future job openings, as well as taking care of key pre-boarding responsibilities to ensure a seamless transition during onboarding. The TAS will also be responsible for representing the talent brand of Watson Gloves and help with HR projects when available. To be successful in this role, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will possess a strong team player mentality, solid time management, organizational and analytical skills, a positive attitude and a customer focused, creative mindset.
**YOUR core responsibilities**:
**Talent Acquisition**:
- Execute the recruitment and selection of talent as directed by the HR Manager.
- Assist Hiring Managers through the recruitment process.
- Actively source new talent and create a talent pipeline for future positions.
- Manage and reconcile the annual recruitment budget.
- Complete job approval forms; propose compensation ranges for open roles and review with HR Manager.
- Complete background and reference checks.
**Talent Journey**:
- Execute offers of employment and employment contracts.
- Complete pre-boarding process:
- Develop an onboarding and training schedule with the Hiring Manager.
- Create and manage status change forms.
- Prepare new hire for their first day.
- Ensure IT has all specifications for proper setup.
- Assist with termination and offboarding processes.
- Send out company wide communications on new hires and team updates.
- Collaborate with HR team members on administering and promoting the company’s talent Recognition program.
**Talent Branding**:
- External: manage job sites, featured stories, and the company’s careers page.
- Internal: model the Core Values, share hiring updates with the team
**Continuous Improvement**:
- Review and streamline HR processes.
- Embrace Lean methodology and eliminate waste where possible.
**Other**:
- Brand ambassador - representing Watson Gloves in alignment with our Core Values.
- Support the creation and execution of internal training programs
- Assist the HR Team with projects
- Update the HR Manual
- Field inquiries from team members
**What YOU BRING to Watson Gloves**:
- 4+ years full cycle recruitment experience, US experience is an asset
- Bachelor of Business Administration, Commerce or similar
- CPHR designation considered an asset
- In-depth knowledge of HRIS/ATS, experience with RISE people an asset
- Team player who thrives in a fast paced, high intensity, dynamic environment
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, high attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage their time well
- Strong knowledge of HR functions and procedures
- Familiarity with Employment Standards Acts for: BC, AB, ON, QC (all locations of employees)
- Familiarity with HR policies
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate and interact with all individuals
- Ability to act with tact, good judgment and discretion; maintaining confidentiality of files, personal information, and other matters as appropriate
- A positive attitude, creative mindset and customer focused approach
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office and HRIS experience
- US/Global experience considered an asset
