The Universal Group has an exciting opportunity for a Billing Administrator to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Billing Manager, the Billing Administrator partners with the Finance group and internal clients to drive forward our purpose of providing Peace of Mind to our clients and our employees. **The Role**
The Billing Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, managing customer accounts, and resolving billing discrepancies. This position requires a strong understanding of financial processes, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to facilitate seamless billing operations.
**What you will do**:
- Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to clients based on established billing schedules and contractual agreements.
- Verify the accuracy of billing data, including pricing, discounts, quantities, and taxes, to minimize errors and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with various departments, such as sales, customer service, and operations, to gather relevant information for invoicing and resolve any billing-related issues.
- Maintain and update customer accounts with billing information and contact details to ensure up-to-date records.
- Assist in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in billing processes.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging, proactively following up on overdue accounts to facilitate timely collections.
- Address client inquiries related to billing, payments, and account statements in a professional and customer-centric manner.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and disputes, coordinating with internal teams and clients to reach satisfactory resolutions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile billing records with financial systems and assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, trends, and best practices related to billing and invoicing.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a similar financial role.
