The Operations Manager has a wide range of responsibilities including, but not limited to: providing support and consultation to Indigenous agencies regarding the provision of services in accordance with established practice standards; supporting agencies with the implementation of review and audit recommendations, reviewing practice standards; reviewing Delegated Aboriginal Agency (DAA) operations to ensure that operational standards are met, providing on-going analytical and advisory support to the Director under the Child, Family and Community Service Act (CFCSA), MCFD senior management, and field staff on matters with respect to child and family services which are being delivered pursuant to delegation agreements with Indigenous agencies.

**Job Requirements**:
Education
- University degree in a related discipline (e.g. Social Work, BSW or MSW (preferred), or BA/MA Child and Youth Care; or M.Ed. Counselling/MA Clinical Psychology having completed a practicum in family and child welfare) or an equivalent combination of education and experience, where experience in social work principles and practices is demonstrated (i.e. 10 years’ experience in a variety of settings and roles including supervision.)

Experience
- At least five (5) years’ experience in a social services setting providing consultation and advice to Indigenous communities or agencies.
- At least five (5) years’ experience in social work with particular emphasis on child welfare.
- Experience in client services and/or stakeholder consultation and consensus building.
- At least three (3) years' experience in a consultative, advisory, or supervisory role.
- At least five (5) years’ experience working with Indigenous people, communities and/or Indigenous Child and Family Services Agencies.
- At least two (2) years' experience negotiating with Indigenous communities and demonstrated cultural awareness and competence.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience in negotiation and/or mediation with a general understanding of conflict resolution processes and theory.
- Experience managing multiple projects and assignments.
