**Role Summary and Purpose**
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator is responsible for administering key HR programs in compliance with employment standards and company policies. The HR Coordinator processes payroll, oversees full-cycle recruitment and selection, and onboards new employees to Old Oak. Primary responsibilities further include maintenance and administration of the HRIS, employee benefits, service awards program, and general human resources departmental support.
**Responsibilities**
- Payroll _
- Prepare and process payrolls on a weekly basis.
- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, deductions, and benefits.
- Manage payroll adjustments, garnishments, and reimbursements.
- Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, hours worked, direct deposit information, and changes in pay or benefits.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll data to verify accuracy.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, deductions, taxes, and other compensation-related issues.
- Generate regular payroll reports.
- Recruitment & Selection _
- Assist with the development and maintenance of job requisitions, position descriptions, and recruitment tools.
- Screen resumes to determine high-quality matches for each role.
- Assist in the preparation for interviews, including scheduling, documentation, printing, and room set up.
- Conduct background checks, reference checks, and offer letter preparation for all roles.
- General HR Administration_
- Oversee and administer all onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Coordinate compliance training during onboarding.
- Maintain accurate training and development records for all employees.
- Administer new hire packages, employee anniversary recognition program, Old Oak SWAG program, etc.
- Aid in the development and implementation of policies, programs, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and confidential personnel records.
- Draft general forms, letters, reports, and memos as required.
- Aid in the oversight of all HRIS functions, educating and problem-solving where necessary.
- Actively promote a positive working culture throughout all divisions of Old Oak.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications, Skills & Requirements**
- Human Resources Management Diploma.
- CHRP designation preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, primarily Teams, Outlook, and Excel.
- Previous experience with HRIS and payroll processing systems, preferably ADP.
- Previous experience in full cycle recruitment required.
- Integrity and strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships and rapport.
- Ability to adjust quickly to shifting deadlines.
- Ability to handle simultaneous projects at once.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Knowledgeable of current HR/payroll practices and relevant legislation (ESA, OHSA, etc.).
