Accounting Administrator

**Job Duties**:
- Provides accurate and reliable financial reporting, analysis and insights to the management team
- Responsible for several Accounts Receivable functions including batch entries and verifications
- Fulfills full cycle accounting ensuring all month-end and year-end financial reports are completed accurately and before the deadline
- Participates in month end closing activities including preparing and entering calculations
- Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and investigates anomalies
- Coordinates the collection, verification, analysis of financial data including mathematical calculations to support project costing
- Assists with several Accounts Payable functions including batch checking and posting; cheque run posting and printing monthly credit card statements
- Supports internal and external reviews, including preparation of year-end files and responses to auditor inquiries
- Provides back-up to Accounts Payable and timesheet management as needed
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education in Accounting, a minimum of a two-year college diploma specializing in Accounting or equivalent work experience
- Three or more years’ full-time experience in similar accounting role performing A/P, A/R, and project costing
- Experience performing journal entries, account reconciliations and financial analysis
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint
- Experience creating spreadsheets that include complex formulas and equations
- Possesses a valid driver’s license (Class G minimum) and maintains a clean driving record
**Knowledge and Skill Required**:
- Knowledge of standard accounting principles and applicable regulatory laws
- Works well as a team member and can adapt to changing responsibilities
- High attention to detail and data integrity while producing thorough and accurate work
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, changing priorities and meet tight deadlines despite frequent interruptions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A high level of initiative, discretion and professionalism, while effectively communicating and collaborating with all team members
- Ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
**This position will be based out of ASI Group’s corporate office in **Stoney Creek, ON**.** Regular business hours are 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.
