We are seeking an Accounting Clerk/Bookeepr to become an integral part of our team You will support our management and administrative teams with, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivables, compile data, compute charges, prepare invoices, all functions of bookkeeping and other related tasks/administrative duties.

**No agencies, please.**

**Key Responsibilities**

**Accounts Payables**:

- Process vendor invoices
- Ensure successful completion of all daily balancing transactions, includes regular correspondence with vendors to track and maintain orders/deliveries etc.
- Manage the internal approval process
- Identify and raise potential A/R concerns in a timely manner
- Prepare and post journal entries

**Accounts Receivables**:

- Calculate cost of goods and services
- Track and record deliveries to customers
- Prepare and distribute invoices to customers
- Create and maintain monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
- Communicate with customers as needed, such as invoices, statement of accounts, project related data, follow-up to ensure payments are received in a timely manner

**Bookkeeping**:

- Process payroll
- Calculate and remit HST/GST and all other reporting requirements and related filings
- Filing and reconciliation of T4s, HST returns, WSIB, EHT etc.
- Manage handling of union dues
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Prepare, present and maintain job cost reports
- Track budgets and provide continuous improvement of account processes and procedures

Perform additional related duties as required such as new hire support, payroll processing and support, data entry, back-up duties for reception and other administrative duties.

**What we would like you to bring to the role**:

- min. 5+ years Accounting and/or Bookkeeping experience
- Post secondary education in finance or accounting
- Experience in billing, financing, or other related fields(s)
- Worked in and knowledge of **unionized** construction company an asset
- Strong working experience with accounting systems such as Quickbooks is required
- Proficient in MS Office programs and general computer skills is required

**Initiative**: have the ability to work independently, know when to prioritize work, be intuitive, a quick learner and self-starter with excellent communication skills, assertiveness, attention to detail and analytical skills are competencies critical for success in this role with a personal drive and interest to complete task accurately and on-time.

**Strong Communication Skills**:Comfortable to communicate with a variety of team members & leaders to effectively achieve desired results and assist with positive implementation of key financial processes and procedures.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week

**Experience**:

- accounting software (Business Vision/Sage, Quickbooks): 3 years (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 5 years (required)
