Bookkeeper/Office Assistant Food Industry

**Specific Responsibilities**
- Accounting responsibilities for 2 companies
- Update and maintain general ledger, trial balance, entries reconciliation
- Perform month-end, year-end closings
- Enter data, maintain records, create reports and financial statements
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
- employees expenses reimbursements
- Tracking and completing all accounting tasks
- CNESST Maintenance & Filings
- Revenu Quebec GST/TVQ Filings
- Manage and maintain all government permits
- Proactively suggest way to improve record keeping, accounting system
- Payroll processing, including data entry and verification
- Manage group Insurance & Benefits program
- Manage employee who takes care of accounts receivable
- Work with our Auditors for year end Filing

**Position Requirements**

**Competencies**:

- Must be an organized multitasker
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Prepare and reconcile financial reports, including bank reconciliation and account reconciliation; Year end document submissions
- Solid working knowledge of Word, Excel and **SAGE & SAP B1 ACCOUNTING Systems**:

- Comfortable learning about and working with different technology tools
- Excellent organizational skill, focus and exceptional attention to details
- Ability to work successfully to meet specific timelines with limited supervision
- Strong follow up skills and ability to multitask
- Dedication to learning and growing in their craft
- Excellent teamwork skills and collaborative nature
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

**Education and Experience**:

- 5+ years proven bookkeeping and accounting experience
- Mini: 3 year college Accounting program

**Responsabilités spécifiques**:

- Responsabilités comptables pour 2 entreprises
- Mise à jour et maintenance du grand livre, de la balance des comptes, de la réconciliation des écritures.
- Effectuer les clôtures de fin de mois et de fin d'année
- Saisir des données, tenir des registres, créer des rapports et des états financiers
- Rapprochement des comptes bancaires et des comptes de cartes de crédit
- Remboursement des dépenses des employés
- Suivi et exécution de toutes les tâches comptables
- Maintenance et dépôts de la CNESST
- Déclarations de TPS/TVQ de Revenu Québec
- Gérer et maintenir tous les permis gouvernementaux
- Proposer de manière proactive des moyens d'améliorer la tenue des dossiers et le système comptable
- Traitement de la paie, y compris la saisie et la vérification des données
- Gérer le programme d'assurance collective et d'avantages sociaux
- Gérer l'employé qui s'occupe des comptes clients
- Travailler avec nos vérificateurs pour le dépôt de fin d'année.

- Préparer et rapprocher les rapports financiers, y compris les rapprochements bancaires et les rapprochements de comptes ; soumettre les documents de fin d'année.
- Solide connaissance pratique de Word, Excel et des systèmes comptables SAGE et SAP B1.
- Être à l'aise dans l'apprentissage et l'utilisation de différents outils technologiques.
- Excellent sens de l'organisation, concentration et attention exceptionnelle aux détails
- Capacité à travailler avec succès dans le respect de délais précis avec une supervision limitée
- Solides compétences en matière de suivi et capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois
