We’re Teletek Structures, an engineering firm that builds and maintains the telecommunications infrastructure that supports major networks like Bell, Rogers and Telus.

Our small team is growing, and so your role with us is more important than ever.

**Administrative Assistant**

As our new administrative assistant, you’ll have a dynamic role with responsibilities spanning executive support, reception, office administration and accounting.

A significant part of your role will be to **directly support our president**. You’ll take administrative responsibilities off her plate, determine how pieces of work can be arranged for maximum productivity, like a conductor, you are helping to manage the office, her travel, coordinating her schedule and files. Your strength here means she can focus on the big picture.

You’ll be the friendly face of Teletek Structures, performing **reception duties** like answering phones, directing calls and greeting guests from time to time.

You are able to take direction, follow through and make corrections to help our team stay on track. You prioritize naturally then move towards the goal. As the **administrative** strength on our team, ensuring smooth daily operations as you handle filing, correspondence, office organization and supplies, and monitor and prepare payroll.

Your role will also include some essential **accounting**. You’ll work with our AccountEdge software to make journal entries, handle invoicing, accounts receivable and accounts payable. You’ll generate regular financial reports, and take care of monthly bank reconciliations.

There are also **project coordinating** tasks that you can support. By helping the team by organizing files (paper and online) and the project details, you are creating efficiencies so that the team can stay on track

This is a full time permanent position working in our St. Jacobs office. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In addition to your 2 weeks’ vacation, you’ll receive 5 paid sick days, benefits, and you’ll have potential to earn profit sharing bonuses.

**Qualifications**

You’re made for this role if you have the following qualifications:

- Experience as an administrative assistant
- Experience performing basic accounting in a company with sales more than $1.5 million per year
- Experience using accounting software: AccountEdge (preferred), QuickBooks, Sage, or other similar software
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional capacity
- A valid driver’s license (needed for running occasional office errands)
