As a key member of our management team, the Operations Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel. Reporting to the General Manager, this individual is responsible for directing the day-to-day activities of the hotel to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Management:
    • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive business growth and improve efficiency.
    • Lead management meetings to discuss operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Operations Management:
    • Manage multiple priorities and ensure the continuity of hotel services.
    • Establish and maintain effective communication channels between departments to promote internal collaboration.
    • Develop and implement service standards based on industry best practices.
    • Ensure a high-quality guest experience from check-in to check-out.
    • Manage inventory and supplies, and oversee purchases to optimize costs.
    • Develop and maintain operational procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.
    • Assume responsibility for the maintenance, safety, and cleanliness of hotel facilities.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Manage unexpected situations and develop emergency response plans to ensure guest and employee safety.
  • Customer Service:
    • Monitor guest satisfaction and develop action plans to address any issues.
    • Develop and implement customer service recovery procedures to resolve guest complaints.
  • Sales and Marketing:
    • Develop and implement strategies to retain and acquire new accounts, driving revenue growth and exceeding sales forecasts.
    • Collaborate with the General Manager and Revenue Manager to develop pricing and promotion strategies.
  • Human Resources Management:
    • Anticipate and address workforce needs to ensure adequate staffing levels.
    • Collaborate with the HR Counselor and department supervisors to recruit, hire, train, and integrate new staff members.
    • Set team performance goals and evaluate results to drive continuous improvement.
    • Support supervisors in their employee management responsibilities.
    Requirements
    • Five years of hotel experience, including supervisor experience, are required.
    • Knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality software.
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
    Work Schedule

The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday, with a suggested 40-hour workweek. However, flexibility is required to accommodate weekend, evening, or holiday shifts as needed.
