About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mining Director, Energy & Resources to drive the implementation of our strategic plan for the region and support the management of operations in Abitibi. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our team and the firm as a whole.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in personnel management of the Abitibi region, ensuring effective leadership and team collaboration.
  • Develop and implement the strategic plan for the region, aligning with the firm's overall objectives.
  • Monitor local business opportunities, fostering relationships with stakeholders and identifying potential growth areas.
  • Contribute to business development strategies and activities with customers in the region, driving revenue growth and expansion.
  • Oversee the delivery of projects with local clients, ensuring adherence to company values and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain and develop business relationships with existing and new clients, promoting CIMA+'s expertise and services.
  • Represent CIMA+ in local business and socio-economic development activities, enhancing the firm's reputation and network.
  • Assume project management responsibilities, including production of deliverables such as reports, designs, plans, and specifications.
Requirements
  • University degree or college diploma in mechanical, industrial, electrical, or civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years' relevant experience, with experience in a consulting engineering firm being an asset.
  • Knowledge of the mining and metals, or heavy industrial sector, with a significant network of contacts in these areas.
  • Experience with P&L responsibilities, entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision, and business acumen.
  • Licenced Professional Engineer, with expertise in team management, mobilizing leadership, business development, and operations management.
  • Proactivity, autonomy, and ability to work under pressure, with strong organizational skills, rigor, and judgment.
  • Acts ethically and demonstrates a high capacity for collaboration.
