Job Summary

The Operations Manager is a key member of the Quality Inn & Suites Val-d'Or team, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel. This role requires a strong leader who can direct the operations of the hotel to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Management:
    • Develop and implement the hotel's operational strategy to achieve business objectives.
    • Convene and facilitate management meetings to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Operations Management:
    • Ensure the smooth operation of hotel services, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
    • Establish and maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring a positive experience for guests.
    • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring efficient use of resources.
    • Develop and implement procedures to maintain the hotel's facilities and equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Customer Service:
    • Monitor and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Sales and Marketing:
    • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth.
    • Collaborate with the General Manager and Revenue Manager to set sales targets and develop pricing strategies.
  • Human Resources Management:
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of employees.
    • Set performance goals and evaluate employee performance.
    • Support supervisors in their employee management responsibilities.
Requirements
  • 5 years of hotel experience, including supervisor experience.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and management principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Bilingualism, French and English.
Work Schedule

The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday, with a suggested schedule of 40 hours per week. The role may require work during weekends, evenings, or holidays, and may involve being on call for emergencies.
