Telecon is looking for an energetic and passionate HR Professional to take on the position of Talent & Culture Business Partner within our Infrastructure client group.


This hybrid opportunity is a 12 month contract

Responsibilities:

  • Provides daytoday performance management guidance to Leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) while ensuring full compliance with the Collective Agreements where applicable.
  • Works closely with Leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Partner with the Talent and Culture Coordinator for weekly and monthly reports related to headcount, turnover, recruiting and prepare ad hoc reports, as requested.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Monitor and partner with Leaders pertaining to Leave of absence and return to work programs.
  • Manages and resolves employee relations issues and conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Fosters partnerships to deliver valueadded service to Leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
  • Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, culture and its competition.
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate and remaining agile to support the needs of the business.
  • Maintains indepth knowledge of legal requirements related to daytoday management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other special projects, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 35 years relevant human resources experience in a human resources capacity supporting business operations.
  • Construction field and/or manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience in an employee relations focused role an asset.
  • Highly effective communicator and influencer.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competitive priorities in a dynamic setting.
