The Talent and Culture Business Partner will work closely with Operational business unit leaders to provide day-to-day support on all human resources related issues within the Infrastructure client group.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide performance management guidance to Leaders, ensuring full compliance with Collective Agreements where applicable.
  • Work closely with Leaders and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Partner with the Talent and Culture Coordinator for weekly and monthly reports related to headcount, turnover, recruiting, and prepare ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Monitor and partner with Leaders pertaining to Leave of absence and return to work programs.
  • Manage and resolve employee relations issues and conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Foster partnerships to deliver value-added service to Leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
  • Maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, culture, and its competition.
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate and remaining agile to support the needs of the business.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 3-5 years relevant human resources experience in a human resources capacity supporting business operations.
  • Construction field and/or manufacturing experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience in an employee relations focused role is an asset.
  • Highly effective communicator and influencer.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competitive priorities in a dynamic setting.
